Please make sure all members of your family read and observe our rules so that we may all have a fun and safe summer at ARA.


  • Members must sign in at the front gate each day when they arrive at the pool.
  • Members of ARA are permitted to bring guests. Guests over the age of 2 years must present a guest pass or pay the $5 guest fee at the front gate.
  • Children under 11 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person who is 14 years of age or older. Pool employees may not be the “responsible person” while on duty.


  • Only pool attire may be worn in the pool, but T-shirts are allowed.
    No regular disposable diapers may be worn in the pool. Swim diapers are permitted. Cloth diapers must have a waterproof outer covering.
  • Children 7 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible person when in the pool.
  • Water wings are permitted in the shallow end only. Children wearing water wings must be accompanied at all times by a responsible person.
  • The lifeguards will call “Adult Swim” (18 years and older) at the top of every hour for 10 minutes. All children under the age of 18 must clear the pool. Adults with infants and toddlers may take them into the water at this time.
  • The following activities are prohibited in the pool: excessive splashing and horseplay, dunking, back dives, back jumps, and running jumps into the pool.
  • The following items are prohibited in the pool: rafts, kickboards, snorkels, fins, and super soaker water guns. Items may be permitted at the manager’s discretion.
  • Persons with open sores, wounds, rashes, bandages (not Band-Aids), or infectious diseases are not allowed in the pool.
  • No food or beverages are permitted in the pool.
  • Anyone using the volleyball court must wash the sand off of their feet, using the hose outside the front gate, before entering the pool area. The volleyball court is for ARA members and paid guests only.


  • No children over 7 years of age allowed in the baby pool.
  • Children 7 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible person when in the baby pool.
  • The gate to the baby pool must be closed and latched at all times.


  • Only one person at a time permitted on the diving board.
  • Anyone using the diving board must be able to swim independently to the ladder.
  • The diving well must be clear before standing on the diving board.
  • No bouncing on the diving board.
  • Swimmers must jump straight off the diving board, and not to the sides.
  • Limit of 10 swimmers in the diving well at a time. Swimmers must clear the well when the diving board is being used.


  • Weather Policy: At the first sound of thunder or sighting of lightning, the pool will be evacuated and will remain closed for 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning. It is the responsibility of the manager or head guard on duty to determine when the pool will reopen.
  • No one is permitted to be on the upper clubhouse deck.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on ARA property.
  • The use of tobacco and vaping products is prohibited on ARA property with the exception of the designated picnic table outside the clubhouse.
  • ARA is a family oriented organization. We ask that all members be responsible for their actions while using our facilities. The pool board and management reserve the right to require a member to leave the facilities for improper behavior, including but not limited to, use of profanity and intoxication.
  • No glass is permitted on ARA property.
  • Individuals not in the pool area are considered to be unsupervised by pool employees. This includes the volleyball court, playground, front lawn, and parking lot.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the parent, guardian, or caregiver to monitor the Internet activity of their children and/or guests while using the ARA Wi-Fi.
  • Managers and lifeguards have the responsibility to enforce the pool rules for the safety of all members.
